Clearly defined and measurable expectations are the biggest and most important first step of making your freelance business profitable.
Clearly. The struggle is real.
Have you ever wondered about your own expectations? Do you know what you want from your business?
How much money do you want to earn? Do you know how to measure your earnings? How do you know what is enough, if you don’t know what you want?
When I sat down and realized that I specifically needed to earn just $3 from each person on my list each month, it became easy to market my business. I no longer felt a need to sell the big dollar items, through push sales, but rather found I was more relaxed about selling and sold more. I nearly doubled my income within just 6 months, because I stopped pushing the sales. I started living well and sharing that, instead of trying to make sales.
When people began to see how much I loved living my life, doing what I do, and helping other people by just doing what I loved, they started searching for me.
I was surprised at one point, by the realization that I didn’t have to SELL anything, I could just enjoy what I do and bring in new clients.
I started doing more of what I loved to do, and stopped pushing sales.
Clearly define your expectations. Write them down and figure out how you can make a difference in your business and marketing efforts.
