You’ve done your part, you created a service, product, wrote a book, or bought into the latest, greatest business, but what about marketing?
You know it’s all about trust, developing relationships, and growing a tribe who loves you, buys from you, and remarkets for you. But how does that happen?
It’s a radical concept, but here it is: You get to know people.
Yeah, you have conversations, you invite people to try your product, you tell them what you do, and you share something of your life with those incredibly nice people on the other end of the information highway. You get to know them by name, and find out something about them.
Do they like cats?
Yeah, you want to know that, because even if what you sell isn’t about CATS, they’ll be telling you about their cat. And you’ll want to know, so you can ask occasionally, “How’s the cat?”
When you have a tribe working with you to sell your products online, you’ve got one really special marketing team that makes a huge difference in your bottom line, in your profit margins, and in your marketing costs. Can you imagine if you had 20 people telling 20 people, who told 20 people, how many people would know about what you do?
I know, that sounds a lot like network marketing and nobody wants to do network marketing, but that’s how you market your business online – by networking, developing that tribe, and creating that general buzz about your products, service, and business.
