Someone brought up Turkey Bacon today, because it’s better for your health…
Isn’t that kind of like eating fake sugar?
I remember a few years back they wheeled out this frozen yogurt stuff and called it ice cream.
I’m not an unreasonable person, but if I’m going to put it in my mouth, I don’t want it to have a scientific theory behind it. I want REAL food.
Over the years, I’ve learned that if I keep it real, I like it better. Other people like it better, and it’s really a lot more fun.
For instance, on Facebook, there are some posters that are just die-hard egomaniacs, and they’ll post anything to get a rouse out of the natives over there, but the ones who have the biggest followings, the best conversations, and the most fun interactions on social media, are the ones who keep it real.
There’s this one dude, he’s a lawyer from north Denver Metro area, and he posts the funniest stuff. Sometimes he’s a raving lunatic, but everyone loves him. He stirs up controversy like none other… And gets away with it. Why?
Because the natives love him. Even if he’s just talking about the weather, he makes it delightful.
“Anyone else catching the astonishing lightning show to the west southwest? It’s far enough away that we can’t hear anything. But the sky is lighting up behind the clouds like a pack of caged paparazzi.”
~ Shawn Mitchell
